MSTC High School
Hegland family members in the Moorhead area did not send their children to the Moorhead public high school. The high school at Moorhead State Teacher's College was the school of choice for Sophie, Allette, Tony and Leonard's families. The school served as a laboratory for professors and students at MSTC and offered kindergarten and all 12 grades. The school at Moorhead State closed in the 1960's.
Cousins Jerry Grover and Butch Hegland played on the MSTC-HS football team.
