Anne Maria Grover

Died: November 19, 1908: Moland Township, Clay County Minnesota
Mary was born in Houston County on October 6, 1869. She was 4 years old when the family moved to Clay County.
Mary was taught at home by her older brothers until the Grover School was opened. She was among the first confirmands at the newly formed Concordia Lutheran Church.
Anne Maria was a fun-loving and popular child who was struck down by paralysis in her young adulthood. The cause of the paralysis is not known. Despite her circumstances, she maintained her sunny disposition and remained the much loved "special little sister" of her brothers.
Mary was particularly affected by her brother Ed's untimely illness and death in 1903. She is reported to have missed him terribly.She herself would die too young, on November 19, 1908, at the age of 39.
