Wayne Gordon Hegland 1943-2009
Wayne Gordon Hegland was born January 31, 1943. He grew up on his parents' farm outside McIntosh, Minnesota. He and his first wife, Sharon, had two children.
Wayne inherited the Heglands' love of music and played professionally for over 50 years. A proud veteran, Wayne was deeply involved in the activities of the American Legion and served as president of Minnesota's 5th District in 2008.
He put up a long and valiant fight against cancer, which caused his death on April 1, 2009.
