Kristi and her family were among the earliest settlers in Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota. Descendants who want to express their pride in those pioneer connections can apply for certificates and organization memberships.

Descendants of Ole and Tarje Grover, Gulbrand Kassenborg and/or John Kroshus qualify for membership in the Minnesota Territorial Pioneers. Descendants of Tone and Ole Lee or John Kroshus qualify for an Iowa Pioneer Certificate.
